The naturopathic doctors at Ray Clinic use natural therapies including:

Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Hydrotherapy, Naturopathic Manipulation & Physical Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, IV Therapies, Lifestyle Counseling.

Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

First, do no harm
Cooperate with the healing powers of nature
Address the fundamental causes of disease
Heal the whole person through individualized treatment
Teach the principles of healthy living and prevention

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) can also complement and enhance health care services provided by other health care professionals.  NDs understand and work with other branches of medical science and may work closely with them whenever appropriate.

Intravenous Vitamin-Mineral Therapy & Chelation Therapy

In this treatment, vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C are introduced through the veins to allow for efficient absorption of these nutrients and therefore facilitate the most optimal effect.

A full assessment by one of our naturopathic physicians is required to determine if administration of IV vitamin-mineral and chelation therapies is appropriate in your case. Some nutrients such as vitamin B12 may be recommended by injection into the muscles (IM) when indicated.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe and useful non-surgical technique for revitalizing and “lifting” the face/skin and improving whole body health.  Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is beneficial in helping to address the following:

– Wrinkles, fine lines
– Sagging, double chin
– Dark circles, bags/puffiness under eyes
– Dull complexion
– Acne
– Scarring

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture has been clinically shown to improve facial muscle tone, increase collagen production, increase overall circulation, tighten pores, and improve overall hormonal balance.

A general acupuncture treatment may be given during the initial naturopathic consultation, and subsequent Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture sessions are approximately 45 minutes each.

For optimal results, a series of 12 weekly or semi-weekly sessions are recommended.  Beneficial changes to the skin will begin after the first treatment and more lasting results occur after the 7th or 8th session.  Results are enduring with maintenance sessions along with good nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and individualized supplemental recommendations.

Bowen Therapy

Bowen therapy is a gentle and non-invasive physical medicine that acts on the nervous system by stimulating various areas on the body. This gentle manipulation of muscles, tendons and nerve points aims to restore their normal tone and function.

Bowen therapy is safe for all ages as there are no vigorous manipulations of the body during the treatment. The Bowen practitioner will apply the movements in a series of patterns, leaving the room between each pattern in order to give the body time to integrate and realign.

Bowen is indicated for musculoskeletal injury and for when chiropractic/physiotherapy/massage therapy results have plateaued. It is a deeply relaxing and restorative modality.

Please call Ray Clinic for more information and to schedule a consultation for Bowen therapy.
